Welcome to the home page of my book OS X Mountain Lion Simplified. My goal in this book is to take the massive number of features, options, utilities, and programs that comprise OS X Mountain Lion and reduce them down so that the operating system is manageable, comprehensible, and, in short, simplified.

Folks brand new to OS X learn the very basic tasks right off the bat in Chapter 1. From there you quickly branch out into useful day-to-day tasks such as surfing the Web, exchanging e-mail messages, tracking contacts, and setting up appointments. You then learn about the Mac's powerful media features, including music, photos, and videos, and the all-important topic of syncing with a iPod, iPad, or iPhone. The rest of the book covers customizing OS X, maintaining the system, and troubleshooting OS X problems.
